A recent study has found evidence of a growing new trend within the business sector, that sees mainly (but not limited to) upper middle-management men creating their own buzz-words and terminology.
The practice was initially developed to freshen up stale LinkedIn profiles, but is fast becoming a confusing headache for employees.
Sandra, from Spalding Paper Clips PLC, told us that every Friday afternoon, like clockwork, a group of men ‘of a certain age’ meet up in the conference room to brainstorm new terminology.
“It was alright at first,” said Sandra, “We didn’t mind because we could all mess around and have a laugh without them breathing down our necks, but they’ve all started using their new-fangled terms in internal emails. It’s become a nightmare,” added Sandra.
Sandra copied & pasted an example of one of her emails:
‘Hey Sands, Can you cream thru the new cel-docs that Debs has just pinged over?
I need to blitz the totes on the whizwang.
Toots, Dunc’
“Even the fancy new ai tools they made us all use can’t help,” said a desperate Sandra.
