VIDEO GAME CHARACTERS AND THEIR FAVOURITE SANDWICHES

Everyone likes sandwiches, even people who don’t. Videogame characters also like sandwiches, and because the internet likes lists of things and sandwiches, here we are.

There’s only ten, even though I ran out of ideas after about four or five. I soldiered on though.

CHOP CHOP MASTER ONION (PaRappa the Rapper)
Bread: Half a Baguette
Filling: The other half of the Baguette
He loves bread so much, he has it twice a day, six times a week. Nobody knows what he consumes on the seventh day, or cares.

THE MAN FROM THE STREETS OF RAGE 2 COVER THAT HAS A ‘DON’T WALK’ SIGN FOR A HEAD (Streets of Rage 2)
Bread: Beef
Filling: Bread
He hasn’t quite worked out how to make a proper sandwich. He knows he’s in the right ballpark but he’s too proud to ask for help.

REIKO NAGASSE (Ridge Racer)
Bread: Bagel
Filling: Wild Rocket, cherry tomatoes, hummus and some other healthy shit. Slowly and meticulously spread, so as not to drip through the middle once the two haves are pressed together. For God’s sake, put a cheese slice or something in there to stop things falling out of the hole or just shove a sausage through the middle and have done with it!

GREENDOG (Greendog)
Bread: Ciabatta, lightly toasted, with a drizzle of extra virgin Olive oil, sprinkled with Gold Leaf
Filling: Truffles
Truth be told, Greendog’s a bit of a prick.

CHICKEN LEG (Golden Axe)
Bread: Bloomer
Filling: Marmite
You’ll either love it or hate it. Chicken Leg falls into the latter category, but is absolutely convinced that given enough tries he can become a member of the former.

KAMEO (Kameo Elements of Power):
Bread: Toast
Filling: Cheese (on top)
You could argue that cheese on toast isn’t even a sandwich, despite it comprising entirely of sandwich materials, and you definitely should. Don’t stand for it! Make your case and pursue this to the end. See how quickly it escalates before someone gets hurt.

TOM (Shenmue)
Bread: Can’t eat it due to an allergy
Filling: Did you even read the bit above?
Tom has a severe allergy to yeast and goes all puffy if he even thinks about it. He knew this before opening his Hot Dog business but thought he could laugh his way through the pain. Anaphylactic shock is not a joke!

DAN (Street Fighter)
Bread: Whatever Ken or Ryu have
Filling: Whatever Ken or Ryu have on theirs, unless it’s got onion on it.
“I love Ken. I love Ryu too. What do think Ken and Ryu are doing right now? I think they’re having fun. I wish I could have fun too.” Said Dan.

OOCCOOO (Zelda Twilight Princess)
Bread: Brioch
Filling: Its own eggs
I’ll just let you visualise that one for a bit.

CHAKAN (Chakan the Forever Man)
Bread: Lovely fluffy milk bread
Filling: Gravel, hair, wax, you name it, he’ll eat it. Acorns.
Uses his big long swords to cut his sandwich into small palatable segments, before cramming the lot in his mouth in one go.
